I'm trying to lose a few pounds but I'm the type of person who needs motivation. I've been trying for months to loose, but I keep coming back to my old habits. I need someone to help me along the way, check in on me to make sure that if I ate it right, tell me of a bad habit before doing so. I know it sounds stupid, but I know and I know that if I had the push of another person, I would be able to keep my diet plan. It's just me and I can not do this alone. I have so many temptations around me and is very difficult. Where I can find someone to help me with my weight loss goals? Only serious answers please. Thanks guys, but I am financially strapped and can not afford a coach right now. I would if I could. After talking with others on the web, I found the answer. If you can join a gym, do it. Most fitness facilities have coaches available. At my gym they have training programs. I have three sessions for $ 75, and that helped a lot. Not that you have to have a full-time coach. Just a few sessions can motivate, because they teach routines tailored to your goals. But I think the bottom line is, no one can "motivate" you, except you. Ornish Diet Plan

I recently went vegetarian and I need to lose weight. I have 2 plans of the vegetarian diet I'm trying to choose. One of them is Dr. Dean Ornish "eat more weigh less," which is basically a low-fat vegetarian plan restricting dietary fat to almost none. The other is "the area of soy" by Barry Sears, where fat is not limited, but the bread and cereals are (low carb). I tend to think that low-carb could produce better results. . . . Anyone have experience with both? Please give me any ideas you have. After looking around, I've learned – Diets do not usually work, because once you go off the diet, you gain all the weight you had before. It's easier just to eat and how to exercise regularly. Carbohydrates are good for you and essential for energy. Be healthy.
